AGI: Tree-Planting and Pundaquit Outing

A little reaction from June 17-18 2011 Outing

Burned by the scorching sun from tree-planting and island hopping.Butt-aching, feet wounded and ankle breaking from skim boarding. sore throat and painful calluses from one heck of an acoustic jamming. 4 hours or less sleep.

To sum it all, this outing is worth taking all of this pain because by the end of the trip we are fulfilled to somehow saved the earth, gathered as one family and reflected that there are more things to learn from ourselves and our fellow gamers.

I just bought an AmpRig

A year ago, I asked a guy if I can play my guitar in a portable way. I mean, I want to play on a mini device
that I will plug into my guitar and listen through a headset without having to plug into an amplifier. He told, I can't because there is no power source.

Yesterday I was watching Dave Weiner on how to record your electric guitar, and he mentioned Amplitube - an application for iTouch,iPad and iPhone that lets you play your guitar and make your i-device into a portable studio. Then there you have it, a portable guitar playing device and more.

It was worth the price, and I can't stop playing guitar even if my fingers hurt and develop a double-layer callus.

The Part Time Instructor

I am an instructor somewhere in Timog Ave. teaching basic 3d animation. Anyone who's into 3d animation or want to learn about it, you can ask me to help to best that I can.
My teacher is experience. The schools can teach you how to use a software but the key to have the talent in this business is your desire to learn, so practice. Art evolves everyday, and in any kind of art you will need to practice- a lot. I believe that the stronger your desire to learn the craft the more talented you can be.
This explains why there are a lot of guys that are self-taught (they find answers to their own questions) are better
than those who paid to learn. Some pay a lot at schools and expect to become the best after graduation.
It is not enough to know, you must know how to do and apply it.
